Our first official event on the riverfront offered free paddleboard and kayak lessons plus seining demonstrations. It was a little overcast and dreary, but we didn’t let that stop us from having fun in the water!
We had a few brave souls try paddleboarding and kayaking for the first time. We also pulled five species of fish out of the Hudson, including mumichogs, alewifes, and baby striped bass. As you can see, seining makes you realize how alive the Hudson is. It’s literally filled with fish.
