HVH2O's inaugural fundraising event in celebration of the Peekskill Riverfront proved to be a rollicking good time. With many appreciated guests that filled up the venue with friends and new friends that made everyone at HVH2O very happy to see come out in support.
Held at the beautiful and historical Dramatic Hall in Peekskill, we decorated the space into a ship reminiscent of the vessels of the 18th century along with a buffet dinner inspired by what life was like aboard, as if we were sailing up the Hudson ourselves back in the day. The Peekskill High Environmental Club donated their talents with artwork that adorned the walls with colorful scenes of the area. Our own Ian Berger entertained the crowd with scurvy sea stories and the main event, Rick Nestler himself, lead the crowd with sing-along sea shanties. Raffle drawings at the end of the night left one surprised and jubilant customer leaving with a new surfboard!
Thank you all so much for joining us for a successful evening of sea shanty jamboree fun. Because of your generosity, we are able to purchase new equipment and start funding activities for the 2019 season for you and the community.
